Yachting
Yachting in Greece with its ideal weather conditions, is a dream-come-true. There is nothing like exploring the innumerable islands and inlets, dipping into crystal-clear waters and lying under cloudless skies. The yachtsman or sailor has a great variety of picturesque destinations to choose from. Nowhere else will one find such a unique combination of crystal-clear seas, endless hours of sunshine, a magnificent coastline, captivating islands, ancient and historical monuments, and a traditional and cultural heritage.
One of the most beautiful, well-equipped marina is only a 5-minute walk from the Palmyra Beach Hotel.
Chartering falls into three main groups: crewed yachts, bareboats and flotillas. Crewed yachts are generally over 50ft. and include sailing boats and motor cruisers. They are luxuriously equipped and offer VIP services as well. Bareboats are usually yachts up to 49ft and can be chartered on condition that two of the passengers are holders of a skipper or equivalent licence. Flotillas were designed to cut yacht-chartering costs and make sailing more accessible. Many flotilla programs have been developed, with the flotilla being usually guide around a planned route by a so-called lead-boat.

Golf
The beautiful Glyfada international Par 72, 18-hole golf course designed by D. Harradine in 1962, and remodelled in 1979 by the American golf architect Robert Trent Jones, is the pride of the Attica region. It is situated only 1,5 kilometres (a ten-minute walk) from the Palmyra Beach Hotel and is open throughout the year except on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday. The golf complex also features a pro-shop, a practice range, dressing rooms, a golf academy, restaurants, a clubhouse, the Spike Bar, a convention room and two tennis courts. Its reception area can cater for 4,000 people.

Swimming
Across the street from the hotel, at a distance of only 100 meters is a beautiful sandy public beach. Further down, at a distance of 1 km from the hotel, is the famous 'Asteria' beach.
Most of the public beaches feature dressing rooms and piers and offer full sea sports facilities such as canoeing, pedal boating, water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, paragliding. In such beaches one will find also playing fields for various games, water slides, tennis courts, volley and basket ball courts, children's playgrounds and pavilions. Some beaches have a pastry shop, a snack bar, a self-service restaurant and even a disco.
Glyfada Athletic Center, only 500 meters from the hotel, boasts an Olympic size swimming pool that "Palmyra Beach" guests can use. This athletic center hosts many swimming and water polo tournaments.
